Xerox Canada is now taking back used Lexmark and HP original equipment manufacturing cartridges to process for recycling and remanufacturing. Simply follow the same process you use for recycling your Xerox branded used supply items, by logging in to www.xerox.ca/gwa to print your Purolator shipping label.

close How do I return empty supplies to Xerox?

Once you have determined that the supplies are part of the Take Back List, login in to your xerox.com account, schedule a pickup of your empty supplies (if needed), and print out the number of shipping labels required. Package your used supply item in the new supply box (one used item per box), and affix one unique 'Smart' Purolator label to each box being returned. Leave box at your usual courier pick-up location at your place of business.

• Please do not photocopy Purolator labels. Create a new label for each package.
• Please do not place return item in a Purolator Express letter or in a Purolator Express Envelope. Use the new supply item box or consolidate in a non-descript over pack box.
• If you are phoning Purolator to schedule a pick-up, please indicate that you have pre-paid Purolator waybills for the shipment(s).

For your convenience, the Green World Alliance allows for Eco Box returns. If you have more than 5 items to return, please select the Eco Box Returns tab on www.xerox.ca/gwa. If you have questions regarding these processes, then please contact the Xerox Webmaster.

close How do I return a skid full of used supplies?

Use the return process described on this site to request as many labels as packages on the skid, then label each package. All packages will be removed from the skid at the time of pick-up. Please make sure to indicate that you have a skid full of packages for pick-up so that the proper truck can be brought to remove all the returns.

close What items can be recycled by Xerox? Does Xerox accept everything?

All Genuine Xerox Branded Imaging Supply items can be recycled by Xerox. View our Take Back List for supplies that Xerox remanufactures. These items include select used Xerox cartridges, waste toner containers, empty toner bottles, fuser modules, and Xerox branded HP & Brother Replacement Cartridges. For these items use the returns process described on this site.

close For Items not on the Take Back list, how do I recycle locally?

• Some products, identified as number 2 plastics, may be recycled in your local mixed plastic stream.
• Check to see if your business location has an industrial recycling program. They may offer a wider range of items that can be recycled through that program.
• Contact your Municipal Waste Service or Industrial Recycling Provider for recycling locations and more information as programs vary.

Yes. However, we encourage you to view our Take Back List to understand which supply items Xerox currently remanufactures. If your supply item is not on the Take Back List, Xerox suggests that you recycle locally.
