(Global Review)
Under Automated Productivity, the Xerox website advertisement for the Features says, “Get up to speed in no time with a tablet-like touch screen that balances simplicity and time-saving efficiency. The familiar, intuitive user interface (UI) guides you through tasks, eliminating extra steps” couldn’t be further from the truth. I run a tax practice, and I am unable to scan documents through their duplex automatic document feeder for various sizes of documents. It cannot detect the document size of a 7 x 71/2” piece of paper. The message pops up on the “Original Size Not Detected.” The service technician told me to press the “OK” and it would proceed with the scan job. So, if I have 10 pages, the first two being 7 x 71/2”, it cannot detect the first two pages, and when you press OK, it ends up with a scan of 8 pages. No matter how many times I try, it is the same result. Another problem is when I use the Bypass Tray to print an envelope; the tray demonstrates how to feed the envelope. However, you have to feed the envelope in the opposite direction. I pointed this out to the service technician, who acknowledged the problem, stating, “he could not find an update to fix the problem, and he would do some research and call me back.” No call came. Another issue is that when I print from QuickBooks financial reports, the landscape pages print the wrong direction, and I need to reverse each landscape page manually. Another issue is when I want to scan pages using the Document Glass manually; I can scan only one page at a time. It does not display the option to "scan the next page" or to "finish the job." This multifunction printer is so poorly designed and supported, costing me a lot of lost productivity. I do not recommend this printer!
