The C235 is one of the worst small business printers I've used. I purchased six units to deploy to medium demand home offices. The manual feed tray jams nearly 100% of the time. If you have documents that require critical alignment this machine is absolutely a no-go. This printer will not print on consistent margins and shifts vertically by as much as 4mm. The main tray is hard to load as the paper guides are at a negative angle from the top. You have to completely remove the tray to load which is inconvenient. The ADF scanner is definitely only intended for full 8.5x11 so if you plan to scan anything smaller than that you are out of luck. This printer functions well if you only require 8.5x11 color or B&W printing on a single type of paper and flat bed scanning. For all Xerox expects this printer to be it should have expansion trays at least.(Global Review)
Never even got this thing to print. Followed the directions and loaded the driver from the website but it kept failing on both laptops. I spent hours on chat and voice and got no where with lots of waiting on hold and between chats. I gave up and will send it back to Dell and never purchase anything from Xerox again.(Global Review)
my wife and daughter got this for me for Christmas. Was very heavy carrying it upstairs to my office. I have never set up a printer in under 5 mins before. Amazingly easy!!!! I've always struggled with my HP inkjets to connect them to the computer via which ever-every way way possible. Working in the computer industry you realize that a lot of products are great mechanically or in theory but trying to get the software to work on them is a chore at times. Computer copied and scanned great and printed outstanding. They got it through the mail so I wanted to try everything right off the bat in case it had to be sent back. Hopefully I'll get many years of use out of it. Buy it!(Global Review)
Great Printer. That said, Tech Support has been unable to solve the WiFi scan function. They indicated over a month ago that Xerox is working on a Firmware and Driver update. In the meantime, I scan documents with my iPhone or with an Epson Workforce All In One that I have put back into service.(Global Review)
Excellent printer but very noisy, the rollers sounds like they are grinding against something even during a warmup. It feels like there is a paper jam. but prints perfectly fine.(Global Review)
I designed printers at Xerox for 20 years and print drivers were the bane of my existence. Why are they always so difficult to use? I went to setup this 'wireless' printer on my home network. It recognizes my wi-fi router and lets me enter a password but won't connect. Information online says that the printer must be connected by ethernet cable to the network to setup the wireless capabilities of the printer. Frick me! This is why I left the company and why it is a shell of its former self. Nothing but stupids left who don't challenge the status quo.(Global Review)
May I say, thank you Xerox for a superb product. I am a realtor, business owner and an inventor. This printer is the best there is compared to all the others because there is no comparison. This C235 is dependable, durable and the results perform with precision. I recommend this for Xerox C235 printer for those who are busy and need to be able to rely on their Xerox printer. In addition, customer service offers superb assistance and they are knowledgeable at every level. I am extremely satisfied with Xerox.(Global Review)
The first C235 I purchased was returned because it was SO LOUD. Before returning, I searched Youtube and the internet for what could possibly be the reason why so loud while printing. There was a youtube post with the same problem and the person demonstrated printing and noise. I called Xerox Customer Service and let the CSR listen. He asked did I want to troubleshoot or return. I returned it and got another C235. This NEW C235 had the SAME LOUD NOISE. I called Xerox Customer Service to troubleshoot this time and was told the noise is normal for this printer. He recommended a 'fix' that would slow the printing speed and would also take about 5 minutes to implement the 'fix.' I decided not to b/c it wasn't just a matter of clicking here & there. So if you don't mind the noise while printing, go for it. The colors are bright, it prints fast, setup is easy, and it does everything an office printer would do.
