We bought a C7000 to replace our Xerox Phaser, which worked great and we never had a problem with (Xerox discontinued the Phaser's cartridges). The new C7000 does not print color correctly, and Xerox can't figure it out after two separate teams' visits and 6+ hours of onsite at our office. We've been waiting now for 4+ months for a resolution, a refund, anything. Xerox CS is at best terrible, their people are nice enough but the company itself is non-responsive. Xerox, at one point made great products and were the best in the business, that's no longer the case. I find solace in reading other reviewer's reports of similarly poor CS experiences. Avoid this printer and do not trust Xerox.(Global Review)
Purchased the C7000 because we needed a printer that would do 11 x 17 pages. This has easily been the most frustrating printer we've ever purchased! It always defaults to the wrong paper (wants to use the bypass tray instead of Tray 1) and then goes into error because its "waiting for resources". I have to change the tray setting for every page I print! I've contacted tech support 3 times and still no resolution! It does put out a good quality print when I finally get it to print.(Global Review)
as an architectural office we often publish small very high quality portfolios of our work in reponses to an invitation to present our qualifications for a prospective commission. The fact that the Versalink C7000 uses the same print engine and ink makes them ideal companions, offering reducency and additional print capacity for our office.(Global Review)
As an architecture and design office, we have many occasions where in with tight deadlines we are required to print "in house" small published portfolios in response to Requests for Information from prospective clients and organizations. Our workhorse MFP C70 is the ususal choice for all the services it provides, and the VersaLink C7000, a perfect "back-up" for such work in the event of a problem with the C7000 and they both utilize the same consumables.(Global Review)
This is the most expensive printer we've ever bought for our business and also the most difficult to use. We bought it specifically to print 11 x 17" pages. We only have one paper tray, loaded with 11 x 17 and the printer reverts to letter size after every use. So every time we want to print a page we have to go through settings and change paper size. I've contact tech support to see if we can change default settings but got no where with that.(Global Review)
Hello, We’ve had 4 other large printers (for years) and now have a Versalink c7000, it is by far the worst printer we’ve ever had! Wish we never got it! It was suppose to be easy and it is defiantly NOT. It has to be set up for each printing at the printer (stupid idea by the way) and it MIGHT print a page, but probably not. We spent at least 4 hrs one day getting it to print one page (and before you ask, the graphic was clean and printed several times earlier in the day (unlike your software). It finally printed the other 150 pcs we needed (after hours). Then we were going to print the outside covers and it will only print the stupid cover sheet (which it was turned off, but it prints with very job anyway.) Then we tried to print the guts of the book and now there are link problems (website inks) which we have never had before and it doesn’t make any since! It also has stopped doing any packaging/printing (which WE NEED). We are about to put it in the parking lot and set it a blaze, at least it would be fun to look at for a while. The book we are working on, is mostly a repeat, but it won’t print!. We’ve been working on this project for a couple of months, we are tired and fed up!!!!!! Our 10hour day has given us NO results, just a crappy printer! We are very aggravated that all this time and money was spent and the project is due this SATURDAY (060323)! UGH!!!! And before you ask, yes, we used different flyers and other software(s), NO LUCK PRINTING ANYTHING!! Wish we would have never bought this stupid machine!! We finally had to use a different printer!! A Evers 😡(Global Review)
Mine was delivered 19 days ago. It still doesn't work. A tech guy has been here twice and couldn't get it to work. And now he's not responding to my calls, even though he said he would come back to get it to function. I've paid thousands and have been abandoned.(Global Review)
Print quality is poor Difficult to use Jams all the time Call xerox…. No help at all(Global Review)
I have had this printer 2 years. I have not previously had a printer like this that regularly refuses to print. The paper settings seem to be temperamental, and it is laborious to work out where to change the settings when the control panel reports the paper settings need to change, though I only ever use normal A4 portrait. The company does not want to help on the telephone when I call for assistance.
